La Mercè 2025: Full Concert Schedule, Artists & Venues
Home 9 City Tours 9 La Mercè 2025: Full Concert Schedule, Artists & Venues

Barcelona doesn’t just throw a party—it becomes the party. And nowhere is that more evident than in the concerts of La Mercè, where music takes over streets, squares, beaches and even historical gardens.

For the 2025 edition, the city is getting ready for 106 free concerts spread across 16 unique venues, filling every corner with rhythm, color and soul. From the symphonic sounds of Nou Barris to the beachside beats of Bogatell, this year’s music program celebrates diversity, inclusivity and cultural exchange, with a lineup spanning more than 26 nationalities.

Each venue offers its own vibe:

  • Avinguda de la Catedral – traditional, elegant, and always surprising.
  • Platja del Bogatell – the place to be for massive beach parties under the stars.
  • Plaça Catalunya & Rambla del Raval – urban stages with non-stop energy.
  • Parc de la Ciutadella – green surroundings, global rhythms.
  • Fabra i Coats & Can Fabra – emerging talent and indie gems.
  • Antiga Fàbrica Damm – iconic, festive, and yes—beer is involved.
  • Plaça Reial, Plaça Sant Jaume, Nou Barris, and more – every district joins the beat.

Wherever you go, the soundtrack of Barcelona will follow you.

The lineup is a true mosaic of styles and cultures. This year you’ll hear:

  • Urban icons: Rigoberta Bandini, The Tyets, Mushkaa, Mama Dousha, Doctor Prats
  • Powerful female voices: Suu, Lia Kali, Maria Arnal, Tarta Relena
  • Explosive collectives: Sidonie, Buhos, Figa Flawas
  • International standouts: Pussy Riot (Russia), Kiddy Smile (France), Lido Pimienta (Colombia), Porij & Honeyfeet (Manchester)
  • Timeless talent: Martirio, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Niño de Elche
  • And local gems you’ll be adding to your playlist before the night ends

The city jumps into celebration mode with opening concerts across Plaça Catalunya and Moll de la Fusta. Expect bold acts like Pussy Riot, Tarta Relena, and Lido Pimienta lighting up the night.

Flamenco lovers won’t want to miss Rocío Márquez & Niño de Elche at Avinguda de la Catedral. Meanwhile, Nou Barris brings classical beauty with a symphonic experience under the stars.

The beachfront turns into a pop & soul oasis: Rigoberta Bandini, Mushkaa, Lia Kali and more take over Bogatell, while Teatre Grec hosts a moving tribute to Cuban composer Marta Valdés.

If you’re into big crowds and energy, this is your night. Bogatell Beach explodes with The Tyets, Doctor Prats, and DJs from ELS40. It’s one giant outdoor dancefloor by the sea.

We wind down (but never quietly) with Manchester artists like Honeyfeet, and a final celebration of musical fusion in Parc de la Ciutadella and beyond.

While the full program is still pending official confirmation, based on the City Council’s portal, here’s a preview of what’s expected:

  • Castellers: Human towers on the 20th and 21st of September in Plaça Sant Jaume.
  • Correfoc Infantil: The family-friendly fire run on Saturday 21st, early evening.
  • Correfoc Major: The main fire parade on Sunday 22nd, with devils and dragons storming Via Laietana.
  • Gegants Parades: Expect them daily from Friday 20th onwards, especially in the Gothic Quarter.
  • Live Concerts: Dozens of music performances in Plaça dels Àngels, Parc del Fòrum, and Montjuïc.
  • Mercè Arts de Carrer (MAC): Contemporary street performances and circus acts in Parc de la Ciutadella.
  • Open Doors: Free entrance to many museums, including MUHBA, MNAC, and more.
  • International Guest City: Each year, another world city is invited to showcase its culture. 2025’s guest city is yet to be announced.

Many visitors have asked us for a single resource with only the Traditional Culture events—Castellers, Correfoc, Gegants, Sardanes and more.
We created an exclusive PDF that gathers all the official details in one place, with clickable links and maps, so you can plan your days and be sure you won’t miss a single tradition.

Absolutely. If you want to understand the essence of Barcelona, La Mercè is the moment. It’s where history meets celebration, where tradition meets spontaneity, and where locals and visitors come together to share joy.

But let’s be honest—it gets crowded. And not everyone enjoys being part of a big, bustling crowd.

Here’s the good news: even if you’re visiting during La Mercè but prefer a calmer, more curated experience, Barcelona offers so much more beyond the noise and lights.

That’s why we specialize in private, customized tours—tailored to your interests, your pace, and your travel style. Whether you’re fascinated by art, history, architecture, local markets, wine, or off-the-beaten-path gems, we’ll help you design an unforgettable journey through Catalonia, with or without the big crowds.

So yes—come for La Mercè, or simply come during La Mercè. Either way, with the right guidance, you’ll have a magical time.

Come for the party. Stay for the soul. Let us take care of the rest.
